The Omni Ultra is the ski optimised for versatility and inspires confidence in the skier to push their open water skiing or take their first steps into the course. Combining elements from past Omni models and the top-end Works models, the Omni has become a ski that will handle incredibly well underfoot with increased control in the turn. The Ultra construction consists of carrying across the Sabre's checkerspot biomechanised interior, which, combined with its carbon laminates, creates a ski that is both rigid and responsive where you want it, without the hyperactiveness of a top-end ski. The updated rockerline (bringing it more in line with the Works 02), but with an increased emphasis on width, allows the ski to sit deeper in the turns and remove the flightiness that can be drawn out by flatter tail rockers, enabling you to get the previously mentioned control underfoot and reduce tail blowouts. At the same time, an increased concave depth and clean edge technology in the tail will increase water flow and give you constant speed and an almost rail-like feel across the wash, cutting through like butter. Wrapping up the Omni is a staple of the HO range, the Speedskin base. Developed to reduce drag underfoot and increase speed so you can ski all day.
The Stance 130 waterski boot is the premium open-toe ski boot of the HO range. Built as a structurally stiffer design, the Stance makes sure not to lose any of its key comfort qualities in the process of developing a responsive boot. The plate Stance model winds back the clock to give you your classic screw pattern allowing it to fit on any ski. With a stiffer, full-wrap upper cuff, the Stance now offers considerable support laterally, increasing responsiveness without sacrificing any power. A 175mm cuff height is specifically chosen, letting the Stance sits perfectly around the ankle without restricting leg movement or comfort. Comfort is still as integral as ever, so HO makes sure to keep all the creature comforts that make it soft underfoot and supportive around the ankle.
Waterski Features
Rocker
- 4-Stage Rockerline – A rockerline with two defined flat spots under the front foot and through the tail, with a continuous placement in the nose and behind your rear foot, allowing you to have greater stability across the wash and in the back of your turn without sacrificing acceleration.
- Reduced Rocker Underfoot - Gives the skier a more stable platform to centre from and initiate their next move
- High Rocker Tip - The increased rocker angle in the tip means earlier and more aggressive turn initiation, getting you through the turn tighter and faster.
Flex
- Flex Rating(1=Soft, 10=Stiff) – 7/10
Core
- Blended Works Construction
- Checkerspot Composite Core—Developed in conjunction with the biotech firm Checkerspot, this new foam core reduces weight while increasing rigidity for greater performance. It also has the added bonus of using no petroleum to manufacture.
- Bio Resin: 35% Natural Glycerin Resin - This is a simple by-product of biodiesel production that allows the ski to rebound out of turns faster, allowing for a lighter feel underfoot.
- No Plastic Layers - No top and bottom plastic layers, making the works even more environmentally friendly
Laminates
- Carbon Laminates – A traditional carbon laminate layer that is tried and proven adds a snappy element to your ski, driving response through your cut and turns.
Shape
- Hybrid Width - Essentially a mid-wide construction, sitting halfway between traditional and widebody skis. This creates natural and smooth instinctive turns, no matter what speed you want to ski at.
- Reduced Edge Bevel - Reduces drag, giving you a more natural free-flowing feel when on edge
- Clean Edge 3.0 Tail - A tapered edge from the base of the back foot to the tail reduces the ski's drag by around 50%
Concave
- Deep Concave - Naturally creates stability while on edge and through your turns, balancing out the speed created by the clean edge technology.
